The Global Sustainable Digital Finance Forum is an international and interdisciplinary conference focusing on novel approaches in sustainability driven by financial technology (FinTech) and insurance technology (InsurTech).

The Global Sustainable Digital Finance Forum focuses on research and innovations that addresses challenges in the field of banking and finance, insurance, IT, business management, law, regulation, society and many others. The examples range from using artificial intelligence to analyse sustainability data along value chains for improving risk management to central bank digital currencies which enable financial inclusion. Together we will explore how organizations and people can leverage FinTech and InsurTech to develop a more sustainable world. By considering myriad disciplines and research fields, the conference participants from academia, business, non-profit, and government share concepts how sustainability can lead to innovative solutions that address today's challenges.

The Global Sustainable Digital Finance Forum takes place on Sept. 30th in Zurich and online and is supported by Innosuisse as a Networking Event Series on "Sustainable Digital Finance". The Forum also has formed an exclusive partnership with the Impact Finance Forum, a practitioners' conference which takes place on Sept. 26th and the World Bank Group which both support the Global Sustainable Digital Finance Forum.

  • Later Stage Start-ups: this category is for start-ups that have established a successful product on the market, a working business model and show signals that future growth can be expected.

Applicants shall submit their proposals to fintech@bf.uzh.ch until August 31st. The proposals are evaluated against the following criteria:

  • Innovation degree: to what extent does the approach provide a novel solution?

  • Value Creation: to what extent is the solution / business model scalable?

  • Project Setup: how is the solution setup and what's the team behind it?
